Jack is a seven month old (August 2013) Border Collie and Chihuahua mix.  Mixing these two breeds created Jumpin' "Jack" Flash-a highly intelligent, energetic, athletic dog. Because of his high energy level, he will need a fenced-in backyard and daily exercise.  Jack is a very happy, sweet dog. He gets along well with other dogs and children. We don't know if he gets along with cats. Besides chewing on chew toys, his favorite activity is playing ball. If he's not chasing and retrieving a ball, he is carrying one around.  Presently Jack weighs 36 pounds. His vet said that the most he should weigh as an adult is 45 pounds, so he is a medium-sized dog. His short coat is black and white.  His shots are up-to-date and he has been neutered.  He is on HeartGuard Plus and flea and tick preventive.  Jack is housebroken.  Jack needs a new home because his family's home was flooded and his family is now living in an apartment.  Jack does not meet the weight requirements to stay in the apartment, and because of his energy level, he really needs a fenced-in backyard. Apartment living would not suit Jack.  Right now Jack is in a foster home and is patiently waiting for his new owner or family to adopt him and provide a forever home for him.  Please consider adopting Jack. He is a very lovable, sweet, happy little boy.
