Max is a good example of why we like fenced yards for our rescues.  we adopted him out as a pup about 10 yrs ago---he was picked up by animal control as a stray in 2012 as the owners did not register his chip and we have him safe with us. When picked up he had no hair, covered in fleas with leathery skin.  the new owners had neglested him and as we see it, abandoned him.  He deserves to be back in a family/home environment where he can once again see love like he most likely did when he was adopted out as a puppy.  He loves to play ball and would be a nice indoor dog and would love to have a fenced yard for him to play in for the rest of his days.  Consider adopting a senior dog, they will always give you everything you have ever hoped for in a pet.
