It's the story you don't want to hear as a rescuer. Alby was found in the middle of a country road--very thin with an extended belly.  She was very sweet and understandably scared. But we found the fear was not just in being abandoned, but her former life must have been harsh and frightening. Whatever it was, extreme timidity was her initial response to everything.  she has scars on her head and body from past abuse.  she is a great little girl

But it's hard at Recycled to stay in a shell. Instead of fleeing when approached, she waits very still for someone to pick her up, runs up to the fence, and has alot more zest for life. Just in the short time we have been privileged to have her, she is blossoming, slowly, to be that goofy looking mix with a bit of a reserved nature until she trusts you. Then nothing but love. The pictures show a very different dog with joy and eagerness to enjoy every moment.

Never expecting to make such gains, she is now ready to be a great addition to a family, particularly someone who is home during the day.

• Dogs are up-to-date on shots, wormed, on heartworm preventative, microchipped and altered(spayed/neutered), prior to adoption.
