Jilly is a black Flat Coated Retriever mix that was abandoned by her owners. We took her in after a police officer rescued her and asked us for help. She's about 4.5 years of age as of March 2007 and weighs about 40 pounds. Jilly has the personality of a six year old little girl, she loves to be noticed, she loves to please and she would love to find her forever home*** Please keep in mind that black dogs are always the last dogs to be adopted, it seems people do not make a connection with them sometimes because their eyes hide behind their dark coat. It has been studied and proven. "black dog syndrom" is an epidemic across the country. Black dogs are no different than any other colored dog and will love you and your family just the same!!!!**Jilly is a larger dog and we would advise that if going to a home with small children (under the age of 5) to please be careful as some of these beautiful animals do not realize their strength and can be very playful*

• Dogs are up to date on shots, wormed, on heartworm preventative, microchipped ** an additional $15.00 fee will be collected at the time of adoption for the microchip registration** and altered prior to adoption.
• Our pets are kept in foster homes and are viewed at our adoption center by pre-arranged appointment by approved applicants only.
